An ESG approach tailored to specific characteristics of Africa
Qantara AM’s ESG approach is based on a methodology that is adapted to specific challenges faced by countries within the African continent. In this respect, three targeted performance criteria are the linchpin of its analysis model: Energy transition and adaptation to Climate change, Education and Governance.

E = Energy transition & adaptation to climate change
Africa is one of the regions of the globe which is most vulnerable to climate change. At the same time, it is also the continent that pollutes the least (less than 4% of greenhouse gases for 17% of the world's population) and whose need for access to energy remains important in terms of development goals and its public finances. In this respect, energy transition and adaptation to climate change represent a major challenge for the continent.
S = Education
With particularly strong demographic growth and a fertility rate twice the world average, education represents a major challenge for Africa. Demography is an important driver for countries investing in the resources required to increase the human capital potential.
G = Governance
Governance is a key growth factor for the continent. While exogenous factors such as rising commodity prices have contributed to Africa's recent growth, improved governance has also made an important contribution. Good governance sets the conditions for inclusive growth, ensures the prudent management of public finances and debt, and significantly reduces the likelihood of defaults by issuers.
An impactful project for Africa
Qantara AM's ambition is to direct part of international and African savings towards the financing of African States within the framework of the UN's 2030 sustainable development goals, thus participating in promoting development goals and addressing the financing needs of African states.
